BEHIND THE DESIGNS
When a few years ago, I picked up a paintbrush during a difficult time in my life, I could not even imagine it would change everything. It transformed my life into one long art journey.
When a few years ago, I picked up a paintbrush during a difficult time in my life, I could not even imagine it would change everything. It transformed my life into one long art journey.
Painting became my meditation. When I'm lost in brushstrokes, the world fades away. There's no worry, no overthinking—just color, story, and possibility. What started as a way to quiet my mind became something I couldn't imagine my life without.
I'm entirely self-taught. Every technique I've learned came from trial and error, late-night YouTube deep dives, and my ever-growing collection of art books. If I wanted a certain texture or effect, I'd research obsessively until I figured it out—testing solvents, experimenting with brushes, failing beautifully until I succeeded. That's still how I work today: idea first, then the relentless pursuit of bringing it to life.

I've always been drawn to stories—not just fairy tales, but the meanings hidden beneath them. So much of famous art is rooted in mythology, old beliefs, and folklore. I love analyzing these stories, searching for allegory, uncovering what they're really trying to teach us. What fascinates me most is how similar legends are across cultures. Russian folklore, Greek myths, Slavic protective symbols, Celtic tales—the names and details change, but the core truths remain the same. These stories connect us. They remind us that despite different skin colors, languages, or religions, we're all human at heart, grappling with the same fears, hopes, and dreams.
As a Russian-born artist, I'm especially drawn to Slavic traditions—birds of wisdom, ancient protective symbols, the rich visual language of my heritage. But I don't stop there. I want my work to spark curiosity about all cultures, to inspire people to learn, to respect differences while recognizing our shared humanity. When you see one of my pieces, I hope you feel curiosity. Maybe it's a miniature inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites, one of my favorite art movements—I could talk about them for hours. Maybe it's a design rooted in folklore you've never heard of. I want you to wonder, to ask questions, to fall down the same rabbit holes I do. Because here's the thing: each piece is a thread that unravels into something bigger. A beautiful image leads you to a famous painting, which leads you to a myth, which leads you to a deeper understanding of history, culture, and yourself. It's a ball of yarn, and I'm inviting you to pull the thread.
My inspiration comes organically—from a story I've read, a painting I've studied, or simply something I'd want to wear myself. Every single piece starts with that question: Would I love this? I wear-test everything. I adjust, refine, and obsess over quality because I want these pieces to last generations. I have art and books passed down to me that are over 100 years old, and I treasure them. I want my jewelry to become that for someone else—heirlooms imbued with meaning and memory. And even if I paint the same subject twice, no two pieces are ever identical. Each one is hand-painted, which means each one carries its own quirks, its own story, its own soul.
In recent years, I've been noticing that everything around us is becoming the same. We own the same cars, live in the same houses filled with the same furnishings—down to the smallest details. And somehow, all of it feels dull, grey, stripped of color and fun and individuality. Mass-produced. Uniform. Trend-driven. Social media tells us what to like, what to wear, who to be. I believe in individuality, in self-expression that comes from within, not from what's trending. To have your own point of view, you need to be curious—excited about learning, about stories, about the world beyond the screen. Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I grew up on tales of chivalry and adventure, of heroes who dared to be different. My hope is that my jewelry awakens that same sense of wonder in you. That when you wear a piece, you're not just wearing art—you're wearing a question, an invitation, a story waiting to unfold. I also love when people see my designs and start guessing—What does this symbol mean? What story is this from? That dialogue, that curiosity, that connection? That's the magic.
Thank you for being here. For supporting handmade artistry. For choosing something one-of-a-kind in a world that's increasingly mass-produced. Together, we celebrate creativity, individuality, and the stories that make us human. Welcome to my world of wearable art. I can't wait to see which piece speaks to you.
